Yes, I have kids and yes I love them, but finally it’s time for them to return to school, and whilst in some ways I’m completely ready for this celebration of back to school (sorry kids!) but in more practical ways I’m most definitely not!!!! That means the big ‘to do list’ of getting everything ready has nothing ticked off – books, bags, uniform, shoes – these are just for starters! I don’t need to worry about how to keep them busy or juggle their entertaining with my work, but I have another worry of getting them ready for the first day back. So, what can you do to make these jobs easier? I’ll go through ways to make these chores less like chores, but let’s start with the dreaded school uniform labelling!
No doubt like my children you will have some new clothes for them – uniforms, gym kit, football kit, coats – and if these expensive to buy items aren’t properly labelled they will no doubt be lost. You even have to label the bag they go in!
There are several ways of doing this and some people buy ready printed labels to either iron or sew into the clothing. However, if you have more than one child you have to order more than one set of labels and you have no option to change it once done. This can also become quite expensive, especially if you do have more than one child. You’ve then also got to affix it to the garment, but using a Marker Kit you can set your individual text & change it if necessary! See below for the most effective & professional way of marking school garments (both light & dark) with names etc.
